Youth serve Christ through others
Members of the St. Andrew’s Youth Group, serving at the Lutheran Food Pantry downtown on Dec. 10, embodied the vows we take in our Baptismal covenant to proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ; to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself, and to strive for justice and peace among all people, respecting the dignity of every human being. Thanks to all of our youth who took time during this busy holiday season to be the hands and feet of the One whose birth we will celebrate a week from today. Jesus said, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40.) What a wonderful birthday gift the service of our young people at the Lutheran Food Pantry was for our Savior!
