The 40 days of Lent: A journey to the Cross
Ash Wednesday on Feb. 22 began the holy journey to the Cross that we call Lent. Lent is a time to put away the cares of the world and to follow our Lord and Savior to Jerusalem, to Calvary, to the Tomb. A time to prepare our hearts, minds, bodies and souls to accept the great sacrifice that Jesus made for us. If we keep a Holy Lent, then the true joy of Easter permeates our life in fullness, because we have journeyed to the death that is Calvary; the sacrifice that is the Cross. And we are empowered to the new life of the Resurrection. Click here for some resources to help you on your Lenten journey.
The people of God in worship, ministry, fellowship and mission
The St. Andrew’s mission and purpose statement is “to transform the world through Christ — one heart at a time — by bringing all people into membership in the family of God, welcoming them fully by assimilating them into the life of the church, discipling them to follow Jesus and equipping them for ministry.” Click on any of the thumbnail images above to learn more, and click here to download our newsletter featuring a look back at 2011 in pictures to see some of the amazing things our Lord is doing in us and through us.
St. Andrew’s is an Ohio Benefits Bank site!
St. Andrew’s Anglican Church has been established as an Ohio Benefit Bank site. The Ohio Benefit Bank is an Internet-based, counselor-assisted service that connects low- and moderate-income families to tax credits and work supports. As a response to the declining economic plight facing thousands of Ohioans, The Ohio Benefit Bank connects individuals and families to the support they need where they live, work, play and pray. Click here for more information about the Benefit Bank, and here to take advantage of programs, including tax preparation and voter registration services. The site is open to the public by appointment only.
